Forced induction (primarily turbocharging) is often used to upgrade G20s to higher power levels, as much as 200 to 300 whp. Because the turbocharged SR20DET has a very similar design to the SR20DE, many components from the former can easily be used with the latter. SR20DET engine swaps are also common, and high levels of over 400 whp are possible. Factory turbocharged SR20VET Neo-VVL swaps are possible but rare, and output is difficult to estimate.
