Installing a Grillcraft MX Series Grill

Grillcraft makes three distinct models of grills. This article will discuss some of the common features and installation steps for the MX series grills.

A typical car for this grill would be the Acura RSX 2002-2004 year model.

You will need a screw driver, an electric drill, a 3/16 inch drill bit, a scribe or center punch to mark where the drilling will take place, and an adjustable wrench or correct size fixed wrench.

1. The old grill must first be removed. This upper grill is held in place with plastic clips. You can remove them with a screw driver.
2. The Acura emblem is the next part to take off. It is held on with a screw. Remove this by going behind the grill and unscrewing the screw and the emblem should come out.
3. You will next mark and then drill a 3/16 inch hole in the car.
4. Part of your kit is a centering pin. This should be inserted in the bottom of the new grill and the hole you just drilled.
5. The upper frame of the new grill has two tabs on it, where screws will be placed for mounting.
6. Position the grill in the proper location and mark the holes in the upper tabs.
7. Drill the holes.
8. Fasten the grill with the screws and a flat nut on the underside.
9. Congratulations. Step back and admire your new grill.
