Did you know that your car reflects your personality? If you are the type of person who likes the look of fine materials then you must have a wood dash in your car. This dash will let you feel like you are driving one of the finer cars in the world, like a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, Jaguar or other prestige automobile.

If your Accord did not come with a wooden dash then you should be looking at a dash trim kit. These wood dash kits are available from a variety of manufacturers, and each company uses different manufacturing techniques, materials in creating their wood dash trim kits.

There are a variety of things you should be aware of before you make a final decision on which wood dash trim kit you would want to buy .

Your first decision is how much money would you like to spend to improve the interior looks of your car.

Your second decision is based on the answer to the first one. Will you be looking for real wood products or will an imitation wood dash kit work for you?

Some manufacturers will offer you a choice of either one. A real wood dash just looks richer and it gives a warmer impression , however the new imitation wood dash kits are very realistic looking and it is hard to tell the difference.

When choosing a wood kit you can also choose between a flat material or molded product which looks even better.

Another decision revolves around the method of manufacturing. Products cut out using a laser give you a much more precision fit than another technologies.

Also take a look at the instruction sheet does it make sense? Is it easy to read? Does it look like you can do the installation by yourself?

Next take a look at how the material is bonded to your dashboard. Some wood dash kits come with a double sided adhesives and this is what I would recommend. Other wood dash kits use adhesive which will you must apply. This can get a little messier and it may not hold quite as well because of gaps in the application.

Other areas to consider include does the wood dash come with a guarantee? Is the material safe with UV exposure or will it fade out over time?
