Aftermarket Neon Lighting for that Dramatic Effect

Have you seen the movie The Fast and The Furious? Did you see the great looking cars that had glowing colors under the car, in the fender wells, door handles and along the sides? Does your car look as great? Probably not, unless you have added special lighting. This article will tell you how to light up your car.

Neon lighting kits are available for almost every car out there. They come in different sizes, have different colors and have different installation requirements.

The simplest kit contains one color neon lighting tubes. You usually get 2 neon lighting tubes of 48" length and 2 neon lighting tubes of 36" length. The long bulbs are for the sides of the car and the shorter neon bulbs are designed for the front and rear. Most of the neon lighting tubes in these sets are sealed in high impact acrylic for maximum protection. Since these are mounted under the car you don't want an occasional rock hitting and strewing all of your expensive glass over the pavement. This simple neon lighting kit will have wire, mounting brackets, a connection block and a simple on/off switch to contol the neon lighting bulb.

A little more complicated neon lighting kit may add extra wires, and some pre-connected wires to simplify the installation. You may also find a music interface with some neo lighting kits so that the lights pulse to the beat.

Advancing from the simple neon lighting kits you can find some neon lighting kits that offer different size neon tubes, for example one neon lighting kit has two 50" neon tubes and two 30" tubes. A neon lighting kit may have a digital control box which can feature 14 different modes and 11 different speeds. This type of neon lighting control box allows you choose strobe, chase, scan, color changing and changing speeds.

The top of the line neon lighting kits offer 2 to 4 million different colors, consisting of multiple different solid colors (seven or more) with millions of color steps. The lights are bright enough to cover the whole underneath of the car. This type of lighting kit usually has a wireless remote to control the system.
